Spatial distribution of invasive species: an extent of occurrence approach

Abstract Ecological Risk Assessment faces the challenge of determining impact invasive species on biodiversity conservation. Although many statistical methods have emerged in recent years order to model evolution spatio-temporal distribution species, notion extent occurrence, formally defined by International Union for Conservation Nature, has not been properly handled. In this work, a novel and flexible reconstruction occurrence from data will be established nonparametric support estimation theory. Mathematically, given random sample points some unknown distribution, we establish new data-driven method estimating its probability S general dimension. Under mild geometric assumption that is $$r-$$ r - convex, smallest convex set which contains natural estimator.
